Amidst the likes of massive blockbusters such as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Overwatch, one may be surprised that one of the highest rated games of the year so far is the indie game Inside. Since its release, Insidehas been exclusive to Windows 10 and Xbox One, but it seems as though PlayStation 4 players will soon have a chance to see what all the fuss is about.
While an official announcement hasn’t been made, a list of trophies for a PS4 version of Inside have leaked online. Those that are familiar with the Xbox One version of the game will recognize the trophies, as they’re identical to its achievements. Unfortunately for diehard trophy hunters, this means that Inside on PS4 will not have a platinum trophy.
There’s a chance that the following list of Inside PS4 trophies is inaccurate, but the site that posted them, trophy-tracking site Expohase, has a pretty solid track record of leaking trophy lists. In the past, it has revealed the trophy lists for game like the Final Fantasy VII PS4 port, DOOM, Dark Souls III, Uncharted 4, and more.
As for when PS4 owners will get the chance to play the critically-acclaimed Limbo follow-up Inside, that remains to be seen. The PS4 version isn’t even confirmed at the time of this writing, so concrete release info is not available, but it may launch as soon as this month. Video game news website VG 24/7 has cited a “trusted source” that claims Inside will be available for PlayStation 4 by the end of August.
VG 24/7’s claims can’t be verified, so take that information with a grain of salt. If Inside is truly being prepped for a PS4 launch in August, it’s strange that it wasn’t announced a little farther in advance to allow for sufficient marketing. Of course, staying quiet about the PS4 version of the game may be part of an agreement between Microsoft and Playdead Studios.
Regardless of when PS4 players can get their hands on Inside, it should be worth the wait. It earned strong reviews from most press outlets, and in our own Inside review, we praised the game’s puzzles, inventive mechanics, and haunting atmosphere. PS4 owners will probably appreciate the opportunity to get their hands on one of 2016’s most well-received releases.
Inside is currently available for PC and Xbox One, and looks like it will be coming to PS4 soon.
