One reason why Fortnite has become so successful is due to the popularity of its Battle Pass. The Battle Pass gives players a series of seven challenges that they need to complete each week to unlock a variety of content, including exclusive cosmetic items, emotes, and more.
However, some Fortnite fans may not even realize that there is an additional challenge each week in the game, and that is to find the hidden battle star. Not to be confused with the hidden battle stars that are part of treasure map hunts and the like, the hidden battle stars in Fortnite only become available after completing that week’s challenges, and their locations are hinted at thanks to unlockable loading screens.
Collecting all of the hidden battle stars is definitely worthwhile for anyone hoping to fully complete the Battle Pass and unlock all of the Season 5 content while it’s still available. For anyone looking to find all of the hidden battle stars, here are all the hidden battle stars in Fortnite‘s Season 5 so far.
Upon completing the Season 5 Week 1 challenges, Fortnite players should travel to the mining site just west of Lazy Links. Instead of going down the tunnel into the mine, check the step-like mud formations on the surface to find the hidden battle star.
For Week 2, Fortnite players should travel to Lazy Links, and try to land on the roof of the clubhouse on the north side of the area. The very top of this roof has the hidden battle star.
For Week 3, go to the house near the coast that’s east of Risky Reels and northeast of Wailing Woods. The hidden battle star can be found on a dirt patch in the yard, toward the edge of the cliff.
For Week 4, Fortnite battle royale players will want to travel to the desert biome that was introduced with Season 5. The Week 4 hidden battle star can be found on the hump of the camel statue that’s located on the southwest end of the desert.
The Season 5 Week 5 hidden battle star will see players once again traveling to Fortnite‘s desert biome. This time, players will need to go to a building with a metal roof that’s located on the northwest end of the desert.
One of the easiest hidden battle stars to find is located at Risky Reels. Players simply need to land at Risky Reels and then check the bed of the bright red truck that’s parked directly in front of the drive-in theater screen.
After they manage to complete all of the Season 5 Week 7 challenges in Fortnite, players will have yet another hidden battle star to add to their collection. This one can be found at the motel, itself located northeast of the Week 1 battle star location and east of Lazy Links. The star itself can be found on a stone ledge near a “No Dancing” sign at the motel’s empty swimming pool.
As Season 5 in Fortnite continues, new challenges will be added, more loading screens will be unlocked, and more hidden battle stars will be found. We will update this guide as Season 5 continues and more secret battle stars are found in the game.
Fortnite is out now in early access for iOS, Android, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
