Invisible walls are a bane to gamers everywhere, but now a Fortnite player has figured how to build one within the battle royale game. Of course, the manipulation of this bug is cheating, and like with the OP Compact SMG, it will likely be fixed soon. But until that patch arrives, gamers should keep an eye out for other players using this bug for nefarious deeds.
Simply put, Fortnite players need to construct a wooden wall but stop when it reaches 143 HP. At this point, the constructor only needs to strike the wall twice, which will turn it invisible. From there, the wall can be repaired to restore its HP or even edited to add an invisible door. Check out the latest bug in action below:
You can create an invisible wall by hitting a wooden wall twice at 143 hp from FortNiteBR
Many will have to thank Reddit user Reesemaddencebtral for the discovery, as who knows how long this bug has been in the game. It’s oddly specific to the point it could have gone unnoticed for some time, or it could be relatively new.
However long it has been in the game, players can expect a patch from Epic Games in due time. After all, the company is now worth $8 billion thanks to Fortnite, at least according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Considering the iOS version of the game is also raking in $2 million per day via microtransactions, this figure isn’t exactly that surprising.
Epic’s success with the battle royale game has led to the continued support of the mode, as the game is currently entrenched in its fifth season of content. Because of this success, Epic will likely patch this bug as quickly as possible since its success is contingent upon the game. Nevertheless, many players are also likely waiting for the game to expand to Android devices, with the bug certainly fixed by then, but they should also know recent reports suggest there could be some form of device exclusivity.
Fortnite is available now for iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
